MILA’s clients include strategic leaders in technology, financial services, media and other companies that aim to serve LOBs.
About The Founder
Dr. Jennifer M. Cordero founded MILA to build knowledge about the Latino marketplace. She is passionate about researching the business practices of Latino-owned businesses (LOBs) and providing clients with strategic insights about Latino markets.
Dr. Cordero has managed strategic market intelligence initiatives for financial services, technology, media, and philanthropic organizations. Before founding MILA, she served as Vice-President at Wachovia Bank and held strategic analyst positions at Citibank and International Data Corporation.
She holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of California, Irvine, a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. Although born and raised in New York—where her family migrated to from El Salvador—she has lived and worked in other parts of the United States, including Washington, D.C., Miami, Houston, and southern California. She has also lived and worked in São Paulo, Brazil and Santiago, Chile, and traveled extensively throughout Latin America.
